THERE is a build up of traffic at Crouch Street in Colchester after an accident involving a car and bus.

Joy Hale, a communications officer for the East of England Ambulance Service, said: "An ambulance was called at 4:45pm and arrived within 10 minutes.

"The driver of the car was treated for possible whiplash but was not taken to hospital."

The driver of the car is said to be a male in his late 40s.

Sarah from First Essex bus service said the depot have advised the accident itself has now be cleared, but some residual delays have resulted. 

The road is partially blocked following the accident near the A134 Balkerne Hill.

Avoid this road if possible.
