Distraction burglars steal cash from elderly man in Colchester
AN elderly man in Colchester has fallen victim to distraction burglars operating in Colchester.
The incident took place between 9.45am and 10.30am in Lexden Road on Friday.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "Police are appealing for information after two men entered the home of an elderly man.
"One of the men spoke with the victim while the other one searched the living room."
Hundreds of pounds were stolen.
The suspects are described as white and aged between 30 and 40-years-old.
Anyone who spotted anybody acting suspiciouly at the time or who may also have been targeted call Colchester CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
