It may be regarded as the fourth stage at the V Festival but this year's line-up looks to be more exciting than ever before.
In fact with the list of up-and-coming, as well as firmly established acts due to perform on the Virgin Mobile Union Stage, it could well give the other stages a run for their money.
Headlining, in a kind of homecoming for the former Colchester schoolboy, will be Graham Coxon, who last appeared at the festival in 1997 as guitarist with Blur.
In fact that was the last gig Graham played in his home county so his appearance at V this year is long overdue.
Other bands to look out for include The Holloways, who are getting everyone's toes tapping with their latest single Generator, Boy Kill Boy, Ghosts and Mumm-Ra, the last two bands having recently appeared at the Colchester Arts Centre to packed-out crowds.
The full line-up is Graham Coxon, Bright Eyes, The Bravery, Boy Kill Boy, Stephen Fretwell, Plan B, Bedouin Sound Clash, The Holloways, Air Traffic, Mr Hudson and the Library, The Rumble Stripes, Mumm-ra, Remi Nicole, Switches, Cherry Ghost, The Wombats, Tiny Dancers, Ghosts, Unklejam, Passenger, Hoosiers, Dodgems, Rebecca, Pop Levi.
This year's V Festival takes place at Hyland's Park, Chelmsford, over the weekend of August 18 and 19.
Graham Coxon plays on the Sunday.
