FOOD eating contests and a lip sync battle to rival the TV show saw a care home raise hundreds of pounds for St Helena Hospice.
Stanway Green Lodge scheduled an afternoon of wacky entertainment at its annual summer garden party.
Among the unorthodox food challenges was ‘who can eat the most cold custard, beetroot and spinach pie?’ involving cold custard, beetroot and spinach pie before washing it down with a five-a-day vegetable smoothie containing mushrooms and courgettes.
Then it was time to impersonate the stars for a sing off.
A total of £300 was donated to the charity, which provides care across north Essex.
