A CARE home has made international news after naked butlers served residents dinner.
Milton Lodge retirement home in Colchester runs a Sparkle initiative, where staff raise money to grant the wishes of residents.
A group of elderly women said their wish was to spend some time with a man.
The team at the care home went one step further to hire a group of scantily clad butlers, who served them up a three-course meal.
News of the visit has spread further than ever imagined.
The story has featured in newspapers and websites in Russia, Scotland, and even America.
National newspapers who have also run the story include:
The Sun
The Daily Mail
The Metro
The Daily Star
Lad Bible
ITV News
Home manager, Trudi Snee, said: "It's unbelievable that it has gone so crazy.
"It was never done for publicity, it was what the residents wanted.
"We are overwhelmed by how far it has gone, we have been talking to the residents and relatives about it.
"Some people have been opinionated but our saying is life doesn't stop because you are in a care home.
"We will continue to do this as a team and go above and beyond."
