Plans for Colchester Council’s “cultural quarter” will be improved by the time they are presented to the public again, according to deputy leader Tim Young.
Labour’s Mr Young discussed the proposals for the St Botolph’s site during Colchester Chat: the Gazette Podcast.
Tim Fenton, head of Essex University’s journalism course, hosted a 40-minute conversation between Gazette head of content Dom Bowers and Mr Young.
My Young talked about:
* Why Alumno’s plans for the St Botolph’s quarter plans will be a success,
* Fears the Ipswich Road roadworks will force businesses to go bust,
* Why a “People’s Vote” is the right thing to do on Brexit,
* How garden communities are the only way to guarantee Colchester gets the infrastructure it needs,
* His support for Colchester’s parliamentary candidate despite different views in the local Labour party.
This week’s Colchester Chat, and last week’s podcast featuring Colchester Arts Centre director Anthony Roberts and entertainment reporter Neil D’arcy-Jones, are also available on Soundcloud.
A big thanks to Essex University for recording the podcast.
