The new bosses of Colchester DX Rollerworld have unveiled plans for "international standard" roller derby tracks.
Jason and Anne Khan revealed more about their plans for the facility during the latest Colchester Chat podcast.
They told Gazette reporter Katherine Palmer and Essex University journalism student Jacob Ottaway they hope to attract teams from across the world to Colchester.
Roller derby is an exciting contact sport in which teams race around a track while trying to block their opponents.
They also discussed:
- Why businesses should get rates relief over the Ipswich road roadworks,
- How council red tape was a barrier to repeating the Castle Park ice slide this year,
- Why Amazon shouldn't have been allowed to set up a collection point in the town centre.
The podcast is also available on Spotify and iTunes.
