Drivers are stuck in five mile queues after a crash shut part of the A12.
The road was blocked northbound between junction 23, Kelvedon South, and junction 24, Kelvedon North following a crash around 2.30pm this afternoon.
Police have now closed the northbound carriageway to all traffic at Kelvedon.
Drivers are advised to come off the A12 at junction 23, travel through Kelvedon along the B1024 and rejoin the A12 at junction 24.

Update:
All lanes on the northbound carriageway have reopened between Junction 23 (Kelvedon South) and Junction 24 (Kelvedon North).
Essex Travel News reported that the closure was due to a fuel spillage from an eariler accident.
Long Delays are said to be back to Juntion 19 (Boreham)
