A NEW vintage charity shop has officially opened after moving house.
St Helena Hospice moved its popular vintage shop from Head Street in Colchester to nearby Sir Isaac’s Walk.
Five long-serving volunteers cut the ribbon to declare the new shop open as excited customers waited outside.
Karen Stokes, St Helena Hospice’s retail area manager, said: “St Helena’s previous vintage shop was a unique and much-loved shop with a plethora of vintage items from the pretty to the obscure.
“The new shop on Sir Isaac’s Walk has been beautifully renovated to fit the vintage theme and will be filled with fabulous donations.”
The hospice has 18 shops across north Essex and money raised from sales going towards helping people facing incurable illness and bereavement.
