WATCHDOGS have described a pre-school as delightful in their latest report.
Oftsed inspectors visited Tiddlywinks Pre School in Great Horkesley and their findings have now been published online.
The pre-school was rated as outstanding in all areas.
The report said: “Children have a wonderful time at this delightful pre-school. They busily immerse themselves in a range of highly engaging activities.
“The manager and staff are superb role models who work together to create a captivating learning environment.
“Parents recognise the dedication of the manager and her team. They say the team goes above and beyond their expectations to deliver exceptional experiences for children.”
Helen Taylor, manager at the pre-school in Coach Road, said she was proud of the team.
She said: “We got outstanding on our last inspection but the framework has changed so it’s harder to get that.
“We are extremely proud of the team and everyone who comes here becomes a part of our family.
“For me, the main thing is the children are enjoying their time here, they are developing their learning and the relationship we have with parents is the most important thing.”
The report said the children’s wellbeing and enjoyment is central to everything staff do.
It said: “Together, the staff and children care for two rabbits in their garden.
“This activity helps children to learn how to take good care of living creatures. It also gives children a calm and soothing experience, which supports their emotional well-being.”
Watchdogs also noted the children have excellent opportunities to use their speaking and listening skills.
Staff enthusiastically lead children in the singing of nursery rhymes and they captivate children’s attention through their skilful sharing of stories.
The pre-school was assessed on quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management and overall effectiveness.
