AN air ambulance was scrambled after a man was hurt in an accident.
The Essex and Herts Air Ambulance was sent to the Hythe on Monday afternoon.
A man was later transferred to hospital for treatment.
Onlooker Andrzej Krupinski saw the paramedics and the helicopter land close to the River Colne.
A spokesman for The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust confirmed the call out.
He said: “An ambulance and Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were called to Hythe Quay in Colchester on Monday, following reports of a man injured in an accident.
“One man was transported to Colchester General Hospital by road ambulance for further assessment and care.”
