A HUGE mound of rubbish has been flytipped outside the base of a housing association in Colchester.
The mound, which includes a sofa, garden waste and the remains of wooden furniture, has been left outside the base of the Guinness Partnership, in Berkley Close, Highwoods.
Residents have complained the pile has been growing gradually since Friday, with the council unable to remove it as it is on private land.
A spokesman for the Guinness Partnership said: "This rubbish results from third party fly-tipping.
"The contractor who was due to remove the rubbish did not attend and we have arranged for another contractor to remove it this week.
"We are continuing to monitor the situation and would welcome any information from residents on who is responsible for this problem.”
