A COMMUNITY-focused physiotherapy practice has opened at Colchester United’s Jobserve Community Stadium.
Physio 3.0 has opened its doors as part of the facilities on offer at the United Way ground, and will be offering treatment to residents across Colchester.
Not just for sporty types, the practice wants to work with those who feel disconnected due to injury or illness by offering patient centric care, developed with the help of firm iWantGreatCare.
The firms will work together to turn patient feedback into a tool to improve the service and attract new patients to the clinic.
Co-founder Michael Barker said: “As a new concept physiotherapy practice, being able to deliver services which matter to people means we have to think differently about how we listen to people’s needs and preferences.
“iWantGreatCare was an obvious partner to choose to help us do this.
“They share our values and philosophies about empowering people for better care.”
“Their excellent platform not only allows us to listen to what people are saying but also connects us more closely to our communities.”
From the launch of the business patients have been asked for feedback on the care they receive, and ideas for improvements will be taken on board.
The practice has also found patients respond well to a follow up invitation sent out at regular intervals, meaning physios have started collecting regular reviews of care in their first few months of trading.
Karen Ricks, senior associate physiotherapist said: “It is so useful to receive feedback from patients via iWantGreatCare.
“It enables us to listen to our patients, evaluate the quality of care our patients receive and make focused improvements.”
Jon Twinn, managing director of iWantGreatCare, added: “We were delighted to be approached by Physio 3.0 and help them set the right steps in place to really understand the needs of their patients and deliver best in class treatment.
“Physio 3.0 may be just starting out but they have set a groundwork which gives them direction and allows them to offer a very different way of working with the local community.”
