PROUD mum Kim Gillman is celebrating the greatest-ever Christmas present - the safe arrival of beautiful baby Douglas.
Giving birth is a cause for celebration at any time of the year.
However, Kim's experience is extra special as her little one made his entrance into the world in the early hours of Christmas Day morning.
Douglas Albert Gillman arrived just after 3am, weighing 7lb 1oz, and was born at Colchester General Hospital.
He is a little brother for Betty, five, and half-siblings Jack and Bella.
The family live in King Stephen Road, Colchester.
Kim, 38, said: "I'd like to say a massive thank you to the midwives and my amazing birthing partner, Jade Bland.
"They gave me so much care and support and what a wonderful day to be born."
Kim made contact after reading our story asking for people to make contact and tell us about their Christmas babies.
She sent pictures of herself and Douglas in hospital, one of herself and Jade - sporting festive pyjamas - and one of Douglas meeting big sister Betty later on Christmas Day morning.
