TODAY’S spread is a real feather in the cap for our Camera Club members.

We’ve picked seven of our favourite birdlife pictures from the last week, either sneakily taken from the warmth of indoors or on your walks around the beautiful countryside of north Essex.

Once again, they capture the stunning wildlife right on our doorstep - quite literally, in some cases - and illustrate the talent needed to capture birdlife.

Shiela Winwright took one of the pictures and said: “I have the utmost respect for wildlife photographers.

“The birds move so quickly, particularly the starlings who don’t stay still for a second and are extremely skittish.”
