KIND-HEARTED Katie Montague has launched a fundraising plan that she hopes proves a wheel success.
The six-year-old is doing a sponsored scoot-a-thon to support the Little Princess Trust.
The charity makes wigs from hair donations for those suffering from hairloss-related conditions, including cancer.
Katie is donating her own locks in the spring and now she has devised a high-octane challenge to further show her support.
Her scoot-a-thon will involve riding her scooter around the block near her home in High Woods every hour, on the hour, from 7am until 7pm.
Dad Billy said: "Myself and her mum are extremely proud.
"She was so moved when we learnt about children who suffer from illnesses like cancer.
"She asked me how their hair grew back.
"I said it often took a long time and that’s when we got talking about the Little Princess Trust.
"Katie decided she wanted to cut her hair for them and that's going to happen in April, depending on the situation with Covid.
"I also explained it costs money to make a wig.
"She said she could pay the money from her piggy bank but, when I told her how much was needed, she decided to do some fundraising instead.
"Between us, we came up with the idea of the scoot-a-thon."
Close family - Katie with proud dad Billy
Mr Montague said the fundraiser will hopefully take place in April.
In the meantime, Katie wants to let her hair grow as long as possible as it has to be a certain length before it can be donated.
"We're extremely proud of her," he added.
"We want to make the day a big success and raise as much money as possible."
Within 24 hours of setting up her JustGiving fundraising page, Katie had already raised £250 of her £550 target.
However, she is determined to not only meet her target but smash it.
The trust is currently building a new office, so anything above that amount will go towards it.
