TWO special ladies are taking centre stage in our latest focus on north Essex’s Community Champions.
Barbara McIntyre and Eunice Moore have been praised by readers for their tireless work running the Colchester-based group Tots 2 Teens.
The pair collect donations of clothes, accessories and essentials and then deliver them to families in need.
They help youngsters from newborn babies through to teenagers and have been praised for supporting people across north Essex.
Deborah Pratchett was one of those to make contact after benefitting from their great work.
She said: “Eunice and Barbara have helped so many people with donations of clothes for vulnerable people.
“They are lovely ladies and have helped so many children, from little babies to teenagers, and everyone appreciates what they do.
“I’m very proud of them for all the help they’ve given families during the pandemic.
“They helped me with clothes and go out of their way to drop off bags of clothes.”

Steph Moore says Mrs McIntyre and Mrs Moore never turn anyone away, even though the need for clothes has risen during the Covid-19 pandemic.
She said: “They do it all off their own backs.
“And even though the number or referrals for help has gone up, they’ve never turned anyone away.
“They deliver all the items to families at their own cost and their homes have become mini-workshops to arrange it all.
“They’ve continued to work so hard throughout this period, when so many families have been hit by coronavirus and may have gone without.
“I’d like to say thank you so much for all they do to help families in and around Colchester.”
Reader Sian Moloney described Mrs McIntyre and Mrs Moore as “amazing”.
“They have helped so many families in this crisis and I’d like to say a massive thank you,” she said.
