YOUNGSTERS will hope to pass with flying colours when they sit their GCSEs at an independent Colchester school for the first time.
Holmwood House is now offering pupils the option to stay on until Year 11.
The school currently has pupils from six-months-old until aged 13, when they are in Year 8. Now it is extending its provision through until Year 11.
The decision was made following surveys conducted with existing pupils’ parents.
Headmaster Alexander Mitchell said: “I’m thrilled to see Holmwood House expanding its already excellent provision.
“This is a momentous decision and, as the school approaches its 100th year, it is one I feel reflects both the ambition of the school and the market need locally.”
