TWO friends have made their dream a reality by opening a coffee shop and tearoom in Colchester.
Edana Ingham, 60, and Becci Newman, 37, always flirted with the idea of opening Becana’s.
And now, despite the on-going pandemic, they have done so.
Mrs Ingham said: “It’s always something we’ve had in the back of our minds as a project we wanted to do. When the opportunity became available we just went for it.
Mrs Newman added: “We just want to be different; different menus with different sandwiches and wraps with different fillings.
The new eaterie, currently offering a takeaway drinks service in accordance with Government guidelines, is in the former jeweller’s shop in Crouch Street.
Husbands, children and even grandparents got stuck in to covert the premises for its new incarnation.
