POLICE were called to Colchester town centre to help deal with a man suffering from a mental health episode.
Officers rushed to the area around Halifax, in Head Street, Colchester, before 11am on Monday morning.
Essex Police say a man was found to be having a mental health episode at the scene.
He was taken away from the scene by officers and left in the care of the ambulance service.

According to the firm's website, Colchester's Halifax is only open on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday due to lockdown.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We were called to reports of a disturbance outside the Halifax Bank in Head Street, Colchester at around 9.30am today.
"We attended and detained a man who was later sectioned under the Mental Health Act."
