COLCHESTER is one of just a few areas in the country to see a rise in its average Covid infection rate.
According to the latest Public health England figures, the borough's infection rate is now 99.1 cases per 100,000 people.
This is because there were 193 cases confirmed in the seven days to February 19.
This is up from 92.4 cases per 100,000 people a week earlier, when there were 180 cases in a week.

Brentwood has also seen a rise, but all other parts of Essex have seen rates fall.
