NEW lakeside holiday homes could be built in a village.
The two new shepherd hut style holiday lets could be created on land in Collets Chase, Wormingford, if plans are approved.
The owners of Collets Farm, a 122 farm breeding sheep, pigs and cattle with its own farm shop, are behind the plans.
Collets Chase is located on the outskirts of the Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
The proposal also includes the placement of a shed as an amenity block and the construction of a car park of three spaces.

A report states: "It is concluded that the proposed scheme, by diversifying the use of agricultural land for tourism purposes, would give visitors to the Dedham Vale AONB a wider choice of overnight stay experiences in the borough of Colchester, which in turn would support the growth of the local economy and an increase in local jobs."
A previous application was rejected by Colchester Council.
The previous plan received dozens of objections.
