FOUR e-scooters were seized by police for their riders not having insurance.
Essex Police Colchester's Community Policing Team have been conducting a month-long traffic operation in the town.
Officers have been targeting not only speeding drivers but those without insurance, those ignoring traffic signs and antisocial driving.
Over the weekend the team seized four e-scooters for having no insurance and gave out warnings to several drivers.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "Officers from the community team are conducting a month-long traffic operation targeting not only speeding drivers but other traffic related matters such as driving with no insurance, contravening traffic signs and antisocial driving.
"During the weekend, we seized 4 e-scooters for no insurance and gave warnings to several drivers about their driving.
"If you have any suggestions on where the community team can help with traffic, related offences please comment below with your suggestions."
