ONE part of Colchester has seen its Covid rate increased by 250 per cent in a week, new figures show.
A map compiled using Government figures shows the number of cases in each part of the borough during the week ending March 9 as well as the infection rate and the percentage change compared with a week earlier.
The latest figures show Old heath and Rowhedge has seen its Covid infection rate rise by 250 per cent in a week.
It has risen to 76.2 cases per 100,000 people.
Prettygate and Westlands has also seen its Covid rate increase by 200 per cent compared with a week earlier.
Parson's Heath continues to have the highest infection rate in the borough, of 121.9 cases per 100,000 people, although this has dropped by 41.4 per cent in a week.

Five parts of the borough had almost no Covid cases in this week, meaning the virus is classed as "suppressed" in these parts of the town.

- Parson's Heath - 121.9 (down 41.4 per cent)
- Abbey Field - 89 (up 40 per cent)
- Greenstead - 88.3 (down 7.7 per cent)
- Prettygate & Westlands - 82 (up 200 per cent)
- Old Heath & Rowhedge - 76.2 (up 250 per cent)
- Shrub End - 73.5 (down 12.5 per cent)
- Wivenhoe & University - 50 (up 50 per cent)
- West Bergholt & Wormingford - 46.1 (up 50 per cent)
- Highwoods - 40.3 (down 20 per cent)
- Marks Tey & Wakes Colne - 34.6 (down 62.5 per cent)
- Central Colchester - 34.5 (up 100 per cent)
- Mile End & Braiswick - 33.6 (down 37.5 per cent)
- Monkwick - 29 (down 25 per cent)
- New Town & Hythe - 28.4 (down 33.3 per cent)
- Layer-de-la-Haye, Abberton & Mersea East - less than 3 cases
- West Mersea - less than 3 cases
- Tiptree - less than three cases
- Stanway - less than three cases
- Lexden - less than three cases
- Horkesley Heath, Langham & Dedham - less than three cases
