DEDICATED five-year-old Phoebe Hogg stepped into action to raise funds for her beloved Colchester Zoo.
The Prettygate Infant School pupil tackled the Noah’s Ark 22-Mile Virtual Challenge.
The online task invites people to complete the distance in as many goes as necessary, walking, cycling, running, swimming or any way that suits.
Phoebe decided to walk the distance and managed it in just five days, to match her age.
After setting herself a fundraising target of £100, she managed to tot up an enormous £1,000.
Prettygate headteacher Mark Millbourne said: "Phoebe really wanted to do something positive to support the zoo during lockdown.
"Her initial goal was to raise £100 but, with an incredible amount of support from family and friends, she has managed to raise a huge £1,065.
"Her family and everyone at school are incredibly proud of what she has achieved."
