CONSERVATIONISTS have set a new date for Colchester’s Eco Festival.
The festival is now due to take place on September 4 in Castle Park, Colchester.
The festival is a free community event aimed at educating visitors to create positive social change and every day changes about how people consume products.
Organisers of the event aim to ensure all their future events are sustainable, carbon neutral/negative and ecologically sound.
A spokeswoman for the festival said: “We are looking for urgent sponsorship or pledges, any small amounts would be welcome through our donate page so we can apply for some much-needed funding.
“If all of our eco members donated a £1 we would be able to achieve over £3,000 of funds immediately.”
The festival will be free entry and entirely run by volunteers.
She added: “As we embark on a new year, Eco Colchester will be an integral part of building a greener future by helping to inform and develop a more sustainable and localised community.
“Please help and support us to enable the festival to continue for all of the Colchester community.”
The festival has several partnerships including Enform, Community 360, Colchester Council and Essex County Council.
