Applications for alcohol licences, permission to show outdoor films and live music events have been made to Colchester Council this month.
Anyone who wants to serve or sell alcohol, provide late-night refreshment, or put on regulated entertainment at their premises requires a licence.
The application is advertised and there is a 28 day objection period during which the responsible authorities and general public can make representations in support of or against the application.
If there are no objections made in this time the application must be granted as applied for by the council.
These are the applications which have been made to Colchester Council:
Bower Hall Farm Field, West Mersea
Licence request: Provision of films outdoors Thursday to Saturday from 11am to midnight and on Sundays from 11am to 11pm; Provision of live and recorded music, performance of dance indoors and outdoors and sale of alcohol on and off the premises Thursdays to Saturdays from 11am to midnight and on Sundays from 11am to 11pm; late night refreshment Thursdays to Saturdays from 11pm to midnight

Licence request: Sale of alcohol off the premises Mondays to Sundays from 8am to 10pm.

10 Beer Bottles, Jolliffes Yard, Wivenhoe
Licence request: Sale of alcohol off the premises Monday to Thursday from 8am to 10pm and Fridays and Saturdays from 8am to 11pm; and Sundays from 10am to 5pm

Licence request: Provision of plays, live music, Mondays to Sundays from 10am to 11pm indoors and outdoors. Provision of indoor sporting events, Mondays to Sundays from 10am to 11pm.
Provision of Films, Performance of dance and anything of a similar description Mondays to Sundays indoors from 8am to 11pm and outdoors from 10am to 11pm. Provision of recorded music indoors Mondays to Sundays from 8am to 11.59pm and outdoors from 10am to 11pm. Sale of alcohol on and off the premises Mondays to Sundays from 8am to 11.59pm. Removal of all conditions to be replaced with a new operating schedule. Live and amplified music to be played in the open air (including temporary structures such as marquees and tents) limited to 20 events per year between the hours of 10am and 11pm Mondays to Sundays. Music or speech shall be relayed via external speakers 20 events per year between the hours of 10am and 23pm Monday to Sunday.
