COLCHESTER Zoo will be collecting contact details for anyone over the age of 16 due to recent changes to the Government’s Track and Trace system.
This data is collected to help minimise the transmission of Covid-19 and support public health and safety, it will only be used for NHS track and trace purposes.
A Colchester Zoo spokesman said: “Within your E-ticket booking confirmation you will be asked to complete a short form which must be submitted ahead of your visit giving the full name of each visitor over 16 years old old as well as an email address/phone number or postal address for each person.
“Once this is completed you will receive a confirmation email which our staff will be required to check before you can enter Colchester Zoo.”
Any data submitted will only be used to contact a person for Track and Trace purposes if required.
Zoo pass holders will not be required to do this as the zoo holds their contact details on file and their visit date will be recorded upon scanning their pass.
