A POPULAR skating rink in Colchester has set up a beer garden in preparation for reopening after lockdown so parents can enjoy a drink whilst their children skate to their hearts content.
Rollerworld, based in the Eastgates Industrial Estate, will be opening to outdoor drinkers and diners from next Friday (April 16).
The new beer garden features a large gazebo and sheltered spaces and food and drink will be offered via table service.
For opening night a top London based cocktail bartender has been brought in to wow customers at the new outside cocktail bar.
The venue is offering more than your average bar too.
Karl Zabroski, general manager said: "What makes us really unique is we will also be able to entertain the whole family by keeping the kids happy with under 18's skating in Rollerworld, whilst the adults enjoy food, drink and hopefully the weather outside in the garden."
Rollerworld has struggled financially during the pandemic with losses of more than £5,000 every week whilst it remained closed.
Its owners Anne and Jason Khan launched a fundraising appeal to keep the business going.
