SIX fire crews were called to tackle a blaze inside the roof space of two houses.
The crews, from Colchester, Halstead, Wivenhoe and Chelmsford, were called to Maltings Close, Bures Hamlet, just after 4am this morning.
Two semi-detached houses were alight with the roof spaces of both properties on fire.
Firefighters called for additional support including the aerial ladder platform, which can pour water on blazes from above.
