A POPULAR town centre pub has opened a new solar lit bistro area for punters.
The Foresters Arms, in Castle Road, Colchester, reopened to the public on Monday following a revamp at the premises.
A new outside dining and drinking area has been created for the public at the venue.
During lockdown the pub has been offering takeaway food, coffee and essentials from the premises.

The new solar lit bistro area aims to "take customers on holidays" with weekly themed cuisine and music.
The pub posted on Facebook on Monday: "What a fantastic first day and evening.
"A big thank you to everyone who made the day pleasant, enjoyed themselves and we appreciate you following all the guidelines.
"Massive appreciation for our team tonight who have been pushed to the limits with extra foot work and phone calls.
"To end the night a Jameson’s coffee, available off our new hot drinks menu.
"Coffee machine is on from 10.30am to 10pm because that’s how we roll."
