A RESTAURANT chain has revealed its planned opening hours for its new Colchester eatery.
Loungers UK Limited has applied for planning permission from Colchester Council to vary one of the conditions in place for the redevelopment of the town's former East of England Co-op, in Long Wyre Street development.
The firm wants to increase the opening hours allowed for the restaurant in preparation for its opening date.
If the plans are approved the restaurant will be open from 8am to 11.30pm Monday to Thursday, from 8am to midnight Friday and Saturday and from 8am to 11pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
There are also slight changes proposed to the layout of the premises.
The new restaurant will feature a large indoor area for diners, a kitchen, bar and toilet facilities.
There will also be a number of tables outside the premises in the new St Nicholas Square, which is being revamped.

The £5.5 million revamp of the old Co-op will see two retail and five restaurant units created as well as 24 apartments, made up of suites and one and two-bed flats.
Covid has caused delays to the constructions, but works are set to be complete this year.
Colchester Council will have the final say on the plans.
