HAIRDRESSERS are celebrating after winning a coveted industry award.
ID Hairdressing, in Priory Walk, Colchester, won the Essex category in the Prestige Awards.
Staff will now collect their prize when they attend a London awards ceremony in July.
The awards celebrate small and medium-sized businesses which have enjoyed success in the last 12 months.
Salon director Ian Duggan said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to win.
“We had to support our nomination with evidence of our work and positive feedback from clients, as well as highlighting outstanding parts of our business.

“The judging panel then based their decisions on areas such as service excellence, quality of the service provided and consistency in performance.
“To be named as winners is an amazing feeling and a reward for the hard work and dedication of our staff.
“We’re all very excited about attending the awards ceremony in London in July.”
ID Hairdressers hit the Gazette headlines in January after staff delivered food packages across Colchester.
They put a message on social media saying they wanted to help and their post reached nearly 11,000 people.
Selfless staff dipped into their own pockets to supply the goodies which were then delivered to homes throughout the community.
