A MULTI-STOREY town centre car park has needed to be temporarily closed.
St Mary's Car Park, in Balkerne Hill, Colchester, is currently closed due to a power supply issue discovered this morning.
The 617-space car park, managed by Colchester Council, is usually open for 24 hours a day seven days a week, including public holidays.
🅿️ Due to a power supply issue this morning, St Mary’s Car Park is temporarily closed. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and are working to resolve this as soon as possible.

A statement from the council said: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused and are working to resolve this as soon as possible.
"In the meantime, alternative nearby parking is available."

The alternative parking is available in Sheepen Road, Vineyard Street and St John's car parks.
It added: "We will post a progress update later today. Thank you for your patience."
