A COUPLE have followed their passion for food to launch their own mobile food van.

Charlie and Charlotte Marsden have been a hit with Braintree locals after launching Cha Cha Pizza, a mobile pizza van.

The couple decided to take the plunge after looking for catering for their own wedding this summer.

After some research they decided to buy their own van from 1971 and follow their passion for food, so

they restored the vintage 1971 Citroen HY Van with a wood fire pizza oven during lockdown.

Charlie said: "We both have a passion for food and Charlotte loves pizza, we saw what other people were doing and decided to do it ourselves.

"We started in February and now we are doing events and pop ups all around Braintree.

The couple, who live in Colchester have been doing regular pop ups at The Woolpack Pub in Coggeshall and Braintree town centre.

Charlie added: "We both have full time jobs but we have got a lot of events and private bookings coming up, mostly about three to four times a week."
