“The great thing about it is the street food and that the park provides sufficient space for people.
“It’s a good event if you want to get your confidence back again after the past year.
“People’s wellbeing and safety comes first, but as we approach the summer season we should be optimistic about events.
“We will continue to follow the Government’s guidelines.”
Cinema-goers are welcome to bring their own picnic by purchasing a Picnic Pass when booking their tickets.
Alcohol is not permitted, however, there will be a licensed bar inside the park.
Early bird tickets are on sale now from £9.50 per adult.
One child goes free with each paying adult to the showings suitable for children.
The venue will have hand sanitiser stations and there is plenty of space for social distancing.
Safe queue systems will be in place with toilets undergoing an enhanced cleaning regime.
Colchester Outdoor Film and Street Food Festival takes place from Thursday August 4 to Sunday August 8 in Lower Castle Park.
