A HUGE 5 tonne mound of rubbish was flytipped in a country lane in a village, leading to police being called to the scene.
Colchester Council was called to investigate the dump, made in Greyhound Hill, Langham, on Thursday morning.
The waste, which weighed about 5 tonnes, included things like traffic cones, old bathtubs and recycling boxes.
It had completely blocked the road to traffic.

A spokesman for Colchester Council said: "The 5-tonne rubbish pile was so bad it blocked the road, taking up police time and council resources, not to mention holding up traffic.
"Our neighbourhood team cleared the area and the road is now open."
