A NEW tenant has been lined up to take over Colchester's old Topshop unit, it has been revealed.
Lion Walk Property has submitted a planning application to make minor changes to the defunct high street retailer's old shop, in Culver Walk.
The application states minor alterations to the outside of the premises are needed to accommodate a new tenant.
Plans do not reveal who the new tenant for the unit will be.
A report states: "A new tenant to 20-21 Culver Walk have requested these alterations to the existing facades to facilitate their proposed internal fit out.
"These minor changes to the elevations are all reflective on the elevation drawings that form part of this application.
"The glazed screens will match those being retained.
"The render will match that to first floor level and other areas within the shopping park."

Colchester's Topshop store closed earlier this year after Asos confirmed a £265 million takeover of four Arcadia brands - Topshop, Topman, Miss Selfridge and HIIT.
The news was another big blow for Colchester town centre and followed hot on the heels of the announcement department shop Debenhams, in Culver Street West, would also close.
