EXPECT delays when a busy town centre High Street closes.
Brightlingsea’s High Street is shutting on June 27, from its junctions with Sydney Street and Tower Street.
UK Power Networks is carrying out work in the area but a detour is available via High Street, Victoria Place, Ladysmith Avenue, Church Road, Bateman Road, Red Barn Road, Bell Green, Chapel Road and Hurst Green.
* A new 20mph zone is being introduced in Clacton.
It will come into effect in Bramwood Road, from its junction with Thorpe Road, and Oaks Drive, from its junction with Bramwood Road.
The order will come into operation on June 10.
* Look out for the temporary closure of Chappel Hill, in Chappel.
It will shut on July 4, while work is carried out by Openreach.
* A Colchester road is closing for overnight later in June.
East Street will shut on June 28 for two nights, from 11.50pm until 4.30am.
It is while crossing inspection works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure.
An alternative route is available via East Street, Ipswich Road, the Ipswich Road roundabout, St Andrews Avenue, the Harwich Road roundabout and Harwich Road.
* Look out for an upcoming road closure in Grove Road, Tiptree.
It will shut from its junctions with Green Lane and Wilkin Drive, for three days from June 29.
It is while gully and frame replacement works are carried out by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Grove Road, Green Lane and Heycroft Way.
* Drivers should be aware of a road closure in Great Bromley.
Hall Road will shut for five days from June 21, because of drainage improvement works.
* Get set for a three-day road closure in Mill Road, Fordham.
The closure comes into effect from June 28, because of drainage investigation works.
* Openreach is carrying out work in Ardleigh.
Overhead cabling works are being carried out and it means Morrow Lane will close on July 1. An alternative route is available via Morrow Lane, Little Bromley Road, Waterhouse Lane and Old Shield Farm Road.
* Pipe repair works are being undertaken by Anglian Water in Nayland Road, Great Horkesley.
It means the road will close from its junctions with Nayland Road and Ivy Lodge Road for two days from June 27.
* Drivers should be aware of a road closure in West Bergholt.
Nayland Road is shutting for three days from June 28, because of work being carried out by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Nayland Road, Park Farm Road, Vinesse Road, Bures Road, Hall Road and White Hart Lane.
* Look out for a road closure in Nether Hill, Gestingthorpe.
The road will shut for five days from July 2, while post and rail fencing work is carried out by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Church Street, North End Road, Yeldham Road, Puttock End, Chapel Hill and Gestingthorpe Road.
