EMERGENCY services were called to a crash on a busy roundabout in Colchester.
Essex Police and the East of England Ambulance Service rushed to the Ipswich Road roundabout following the collision.
Residents reported seeing at least three police cars and an ambulance at the scene at 5.50pm on Sunday.
More than one vehicle is believed to have been involved.
Further roadworks got underway at Ipswich Road on Monday morning.

Another crash also reportedly took place in Ipswich Road earlier on Sunday afternoon.
The East of England Ambulance Service said they attended but did not treat any patients.
