A teenager from Colchester has been handed a restraining order after admitting sexual touching.
The boy, who is 17 and can’t be named for legal reasons, admitted he had intentionally touched a woman aged 16 or over and the touching was sexual when she did not consent.
The incident happened in Braintree in July last year.
The boy was made subject of a restraining order after appearing at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court.
He was also referred to a youth offending panel for 10 months and must pay a victim services charge of £22.
- A man who was caught driving without a seatbelt has been fined £220.
Samuel Ajayi, 21, of Quorn Road, London, was stopped while driving near Tesco at the Hythe in October last year.
At Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court he was fined £220 and ordered to pay a victim services charge of £34 and costs of £90.
- A woman who was caught speeding has been handed a £220 fine.
Kirsty Ramsey, 30, of Springham Drive, Colchester, was caught travelling at 40mph in a 30mph zone in Brinkley Grove Road.
At Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court she was handed three penalty points, fined £220 and ordered to pay £90 costs and a victim services charge of £34.
- A teenager who stole a mobile phone has been ordered to pay £377 in compensation.
Jake Kingsnorth, 19, of Osprey Close, Stanway, admitting taking the iPhone XS in Colchester in December 2019.
At Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court he was made subject of a community order and must carry out 120 hours unpaid work.
He must also pay £377 compensation, court costs of £105 and a victim service charge of £95.
- A drink driver has been handed ten penalty points and fined £666.
Jaroslavas Rusecki, 37, of Dowding Close, Colchester, was stopped in Normandy Way in April this year.
He was found to have 139 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
Rusecki admitted the offences and was handed ten penalty points at Colchester Magistrates’ Court.
He was also fined £666 and ordered to pay £105 of prosecution costs and a victim services charge of £66.
- A man who assaulted a police officer has been handed a suspended sentence.
Ryan Boreham, 28, of Elizabeth Way, Halstead, admitted assaulting an emergency worker after an incident in Colchester on April 4 this year.
At Colchester Magistrates’ Court he was given a 24 week prison sentence suspended for 18 months.
He was also ordered to pay £200 compensation.
Boreham also admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour and damaging a custody cell.
- A man has been fined £100 after admitting being drunk and disorderly in a public place.
Rafal Myslin, 41, of Ariel Close, Colchester, admitted being drink and disorderly during the incident in April this year.
At Colchester Magistrates’ Court he was fined £100 and ordered to pay £105 prosecution costs and a £34 victim services charge.
