Amused police officers have joked about drivers 'taking extreme measures' after flooding on the A12.
Officers from the roads policing unit found an inflatable ring moving along lane two of the road at Stanway over the weekend.
Sharing a picture of the item they quipped about motorists "taking extreme measures to stay afloat."
In a Tweet they said: "Due to the recent floodings on the A12, it seems that motorists have been taking extreme measures to stay afloat.
