A BUSY road in Brightlingsea is blocked in both directions after a lorry driver hit a tree.
The B1029, Church Road, is closed in both directions between Movers Lane and Samson's Road following the accident, which saw the HGV clip a tree.
There is trailer debris in the carriageway, which will need to be cleared from the road before it can reopen.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible.
Church Road is the way in and out of Brightlingsea.
Bus services to the town are being cancelled whilst the incident is ongoing.

Brightlingsea road is now blocked. We cannot serve Brightlingsea at all, their is no alternate route. Buses will be terminating at Thorrington Cross
