POLICE want to speak to witnesses following a fatal crash on the A12 yesterday. (Monday)
Officers were called to a crash on the London bound side of the road, between junction 20 for Hatfield Peverel, and junction 19, for Boreham, at about 11.50am yesterday.
A man in his 40s, who was the driver of a blue Honda Jazz, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
He sadly died a short time later and his loved ones have been informed.
Two 47-year-old men, who were at the scene of the collision, were arrested and taken into custody.
One was driving a blue V50 Sport Volvo and the other was a passenger.
Police believe the Honda Jazz joined the A12 at the Copdock roundabout in Suffolk, and are keen to seek out dashcam of this vehicle – and the others involved – driving prior to the collision.
A spokesman for the force said: "We need to speak to anyone who saw the Jazz - which joined at Copdock - or a blue V50 Sport Volvo driving prior to the collision or who has dashcam of the incident itself.
"Please call 101 or visit our website to submit info or footage.
