A NEW pie and mash shop could open on Mersea Island if plans are approved.
David Carter has applied for planning permission to turn a unit in Queens Corner, West Mersea, into the new eatery.
According to the application the new restaurant would be a pie and mash shop offering takeaway, with four tables for inside dining.
It would be open Monday to Friday between 11am and 5pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 4pm.
