POLICE have arrested a man after catching a whiff of cannabis from a passing van on a main road.
Officers from Stanway's roads policing unit smelt cannabis as a transit drove passed them on the A12 in Feering today.
The van driver did not stop when instructed to following a pursuit - he instead decided to "make a run for it" from officers.
He was later located by Essex Police's Dog Section and arrested on suspicion of various offences.
