WALK in vaccination centres are opening in the coming days for north Essex residents to get their Covid jabs.
The North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group has listed locations across the area where people can get their coronavirus jabs.
A spokesperson from the group said: "We are following current Government guidance that first and second doses of all vaccines should be given eight weeks apart.
"This is to ensure as many people as possible get some level protection, quickly.
"As a wholly precautionary measure, in line with Government guidance the AZ vaccine is only being given to people aged 40 and over."
Here is where the walk in centres are and when they are open:
- Cavalry Road Pharmacy, Colchester - Tuesday, July 6, Wednesday, July 7, Thursday, July 8 between 9am and 5pm. Vaccine: Pfizer one and two, and AZ one and two.
- Cavalry Road Pharmacy, Colchester - Friday, July 9 between 8.30am and 5pm. Vaccine: Moderna one and two.
- Holland Pharmacy, Holland-on-Sea - Wednesday, July 7 and Thursday, July 8 between 10am and 4pm. Vaccine: Pfizer one and two, and AZ one and two.
Do not attend if you have tested positive for Covid-19 28 days prior to your appointment or if you have symptoms.
Symptoms include a new persistent cough, fever or high temperature, loss of taste and/or loss of smell.
