A SCHOOL is celebrating making the grade and receiving coveted accreditation.
Colchester High School has been awarded a Quality Mark for maths and English for its teaching of the subjects from Years 1 to 6.
The accreditation process was overseen by Nicola Morris, the national director of Tribal Group and the Quality Mark programme.
She was treated to pupil, staff and parent presentations, interviews, focus groups, learning walks and a guided tour of the lower school.
Headteacher Karen Gracie-Langrick said: “This is an outstanding accolade and marks a year-long aspiration to be recognised for academic excellence within our lower school. We are incredibly proud of all our teachers and pupils’ hard work this year and the progress they have made as they continue their own individual learning journey.
“This award is a source of pride to us all.”
