LITTLE ones marked the end of an era by taking part in a special graduation ceremony.
The event was for pre-school children at Lexden Lodge Kindergarten, in Lexden Road, Colchester.
Fifty-one youngsters are leaving at the end of term to begin the next chapter of their educational journey, starting at primary school in September.
Principal Mahila Samarbakhsh said: "It's the most children we've ever said goodbye to.
"Parents came along to see their child receive a scroll and commemorative mug and then we had a celebratory tea afterwards, which was enjoyed by everyone.
"When children transition to school, the nursery is actively involved in ensuring the process goes well and children enjoy the best experience in moving off to school."
