PLANS have been revealed to pull down a shop and replace it with two new retail units and nine apartments.
A planning application has been submitted to Colchester in a bid to redevelop the site, at 72 Church Street, Tiptree.
The plans will see the existing shop on the site demolished and replaced with a new three and-a-half storey building featuring two retail or cafe units with nine two-bed apartments above.
A planning report states: "The applicant's vision for the site is to develop a high-quality and attractive mixed used scheme which enhances the retail and commercial centre of Tiptree and also provides sustainable, town-centre living which responds to local housing needs."
